This cypress essential oil wholesale is extracted by steam distillation from Italian or Mediterranean cypress. The oil is extracted from the needles and twigs of the young branches of these trees made famous by Van Gogh's paintings. Cypress essential oil is said to calms strong emotions like anger and is therefore useful during major changes in life.

This essential oil acts as a vasoconstrictor, helping with varicose veins and hemorrhoids. It is said to work well in relieving all excess fluid conditions such as heavy menstruation, excessive sweating, cough, bronchitis, hemorrhage and fluid retention. This oil soothes muscle cramps , helps regulate the menstrual cycle and relieves arthritis and rheumatic pain. The cypress tree is considered a mourning tree according to Greek mythology and is often grown in cemeteries for this reason. He is also associated with the god of the underworld, Hades. The Phoenicians and Cretans used the wood of this tree to build ships and houses. The Egyptians made sarcophagi from them and the Greeks carved statues of their gods from them. Legend has it that the cross of Jesus Christ was made of this wood, another reason why the cypress is linked to death. Ironically, the botanical name of cypress is derived from the Greek "Sempervirens", which means “to live forever”.
